The Seguin trail used to be part of the old Ottawa, Arnprior and Parry Sound Railway which ran from Depot Harbour to Ottawa. There are tons of hiking trails that are still maintained that use the old route today. So it is no wonder that an old steam boiler was left behind just off the Seguin Trail.
The drive to Orrville on the 518 is a really nice drive. In the summer there is parking just off the road to the Seguin trail on the 518 or for a shorter approach you can park on Chain of Lakes road. The Seguin trail is an ATV trail in the summer and a snowmobile trail in the winter. It’s very flat but has many campsites. From the 518 it is a 5.8 km hike until you head south for 500 meters and you’ll end up at this hidden gem. Just 50 meters away there is an awesome campsite on Fume Lake.
